With its elegant, fresh, tasteful decor and creative Modern-American cuisine, Circe is the perfect spot for a night out in Providence. Owner Carlo Carlozzi made his dream into reality when opening Circe nearly 5 years ago, purchasing what was formerly the Downcity Diner with saved funds from his decade-long career as an illustrious Providence bartender. His dedication and love for this self-made restaurant is clear in every aspect of it, from the fantastic bar and accompanying cocktail menu to the pristine, beautiful dining room.
Chef Simon Keating is responsible for the impressive direction Circe's menu has followed, creating Modern-American dishes with European influence in order to capture what he describes as, "elegant simplicity". Originally from Devon, England, Simon has worked in kitchens since the age of 15. Despite not attending an official culinary school, Simon is a featured BCA (Best Chefs America) chef with a passion for cooking and the skills to match. A single bite into one of his stunning dishes will convince you of his natural talent and superb understanding of culinary arts.
